The Bay Area Chromatin and Epigenomics Group (BACE) is a forum for people passionate or curious about chromatin and epigenomics.

Our mission is to bring together diverse professionals with interest in genomics, epigenomics, and biotechnology, to learn, share, and to help create new opportunities.

Editorial Team

Monika Maleszewska is the founder and organizer of the Bay Area Chromatin and Epigenomics group. Monika’s scientific passion for epigenetics started during her doctoral research in the Cardiovascular Regenerative Medicine group at University Medical Center Groningen in the Netherlands, and continued when she investigated the interactions between microenvironment, epigenetics and metabolism in the Chromatin and Ageing group at the Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing in Cologne, Germany.

Monika is passionate about innovation in biotechnology. In addition to her scientific background, she specializes in product and business strategy.
